Q. How long has Valley Center Wireless been in business?
A. Since 2003 locally owned and operated.

Q. What technology is used for your service?
A. 900Mhz and 5.2ghz Microwave technology to transmit and receive to and from our Access Point/Towers.

Q. What areas does Valley Center Wireless service?
A. Valley Center, Pauma Valley, Palomar Mountain, Ramona, Bonsall, Rainbow, and Warner Springs.

Q. Does it cost me money for Valley Center Wireless to come out and see if my property is serviceable?
A. No, We do not charge for Site Surveys. If your location is far from our Headquarters, we try to setup a Site Survey Install where we will go out with intent to install your internet the same day.

Q. How long will it take Valley Center Wireless to Site Survey my property when I put in the request.
A. Typically its a 48 hour turnaround for us to notify you if you are serviceable or not.

Q. Will your service work through trees.
A. We use 2 bands 5.2ghz and 900mhz. Only our 900mhz band will go through trees. 5.2ghz equipment needs direct line of sight with no obstructions.

Q. Will my internet have a datacap?
A. No, We don't have any download limitations like Wildblue, and HughesNet satellite, Verizon, AT&T and other mobile broadband providers. Those companies either will slow your speeds or charge you a premium per Megabyte downloaded. We do no such thing.

Q. Whats the difference between Satellite Internet and Wireless Internet?
A. Satellite has more latency which makes gaming and voice/video chat unreliable at all. Gaming and Voice/Video is very possible on our system.

Q. Do you have a Senior Rate price?
A. Yes, we do for those 55 and over. Visit our Packages page

Q. How long does it take for an install?
A. Typically 1 to 1.5 hours.

Q. Is there an installation cost?
A. Yes $150 for our standard rate and $120 for our senior rate (age 55 and older), plus your first and last month's service payment.

Q. What type of network infrastructure is used with your system?
A. We have a 100Mb ethernet pipeline and its fed to our access points wirelessly throughout our serviceable areas using the "point to multipoint method"

Q. Can I call the office for basic technical or billing support?
A. Yes, we are available to answer questions over the phone from 8:30am to 5pm.

Q. What are your Office Hours of Operation?
A. From 8:30am to 5pm. Monday through Friday.

Q. Is your office opened on Weekends?
A. No, We are open Monday through Friday.

Q. Does your company offer computer repair onsite repair and consulting?
A. Yes we do as our other DBA, Valley Center Computer Repair.

Q. Will Vonage,Tmobile at home, MagicJack, Ooma VOIP work on your system?
A. Yes

Q. When do you send out bills to your customers?
A. The 15th of every month.

Q. Does the weather affect my connection?
A. No, not like satellite. Only if our equipment gets blown out of alignment by strong winds. The elements rarely rain on our parade.

Q. The winds were strong last night and I can't get on the internet?
A. Please call us immediately the next morning so we can remotely access the equipment to see if the wind affected the alignment.

Q. Why is my internet down?
A. Try rebooting your router. If you don't use a router, try rebooting your computer. If that doesn't help, call us immediately for support. We wont know if your personal connection isn't working until you inform us. In most cases we can schedule an onsite repair within 24 hrs if we can not get your connection active over the phone. However, if you call us late Friday afternoon, chances are we might not be able to get your connection repaired until the following Monday.

Q. Is there a cost for repairs?
A. If it is our equipment typically not, if it happens to be an internal issue relating to your own computers or network we will charge a $50 hr truck roll fee.

Q. Do you monitor my connection?
A. No we do not monitor your connection. We do monitor our Network Access Points to make sure they are up and running.

Q. Do you provide Routers, Wireless adapters, and other Networking accessories for sale?
